TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last Updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this website and any tattoo inquiry, consultation, design, appointment, or service provided by Alek the Saint.
By using this website, submitting a booking request, paying a deposit, or scheduling an appointment, you agree to these terms.
BOOKING REQUESTS
Submitting a form does not guarantee an appointment.
Your appointment is confirmed only after I accept the project, agree to the date and time, and receive any required deposit.
I may accept, decline, postpone, or refer a project based on the requested design, placement, condition of the skin, available time, artistic fit, safety concerns, or other reasonable factors.
AGE AND IDENTIFICATION
You must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo in California, even with permission from a parent or guardian.
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required before tattooing. If you cannot provide acceptable identification, the appointment will be canceled and your deposit may be forfeited.
DEPOSITS
A deposit may be required to reserve an appointment and begin custom design work.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing:
Deposits are non-refundable.
Your deposit will be applied toward the final price of your tattoo.
A deposit applies only to the client, project, and appointment for which it was paid.
Deposits cannot be transferred to another person.
A new deposit may be required after a cancellation, missed appointment, major design change, or repeated rescheduling.
Paying a deposit confirms that you accept the quoted rate, these Terms and Conditions, and the scheduling rules provided during booking.
RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.
One reschedule may be permitted without losing your deposit when proper notice is provided. Additional rescheduling may require a new deposit.
Your deposit may be forfeited if you:
Cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice
Miss your appointment
Arrive too late to complete the scheduled work
Arrive without valid identification
Arrive intoxicated or otherwise unable to provide informed consent
Change the project so significantly that the reserved appointment can no longer be used
Fail to provide requested information needed to prepare for the appointment
Emergencies may be considered individually, but exceptions are not guaranteed.
If I must reschedule your appointment, your deposit will remain credited toward the new appointment. If I permanently cancel the project and cannot provide the service, the unused deposit will be returned.
LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive on time.
A late arrival may reduce the amount of tattooing time available, require the appointment to be rescheduled, or cause the appointment to be canceled.
The original quoted price or minimum charge may still apply when reserved appointment time is lost because of a late arrival.
PRICING AND ESTIMATES
Tattoo prices depend on factors such as size, placement, detail, color, complexity, skin condition, design changes, and the time required to complete the work.
Any price or time estimate is a good-faith estimate—not a guaranteed final total—unless I clearly provide a fixed price in writing.
Large tattoos and cover-ups may require multiple sessions. Each session may be charged separately.
The remaining balance is due at the end of each appointment unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing.
CUSTOM DESIGNS
Custom artwork is created for the agreed client, body placement, and tattoo project.
Reference images are used for direction and inspiration. I may change the composition, details, color, contrast, or layout to create an original design that works properly as a tattoo.
Minor revisions may be made when reasonable. Major changes in subject, style, placement, size, or direction may require additional design fees, a new deposit, or a new appointment.
Custom designs, drawings, mockups, and digital files remain the intellectual property of Alek the Saint unless ownership is transferred in writing. They may not be copied, sold, published, or taken to another artist without permission.
CLIENT-PROVIDED MATERIALS
You confirm that you have the right to provide any photographs, artwork, documents, or reference materials you submit.
You give me permission to use those materials only as reasonably necessary to review your request, communicate with you, and prepare your tattoo design.
I will not knowingly copy another tattoo artist’s custom work exactly.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Before tattooing, you must complete and sign the required consent and health forms.
You must honestly disclose information relevant to tattoo safety, including allergies, medications, pregnancy, bleeding conditions, skin problems, illness, or other conditions listed on the health questionnaire.
I may refuse or postpone a tattoo when I reasonably believe the procedure would be unsafe. This may include situations involving:
Illness or infection
Damaged, irritated, sunburned, or unsuitable skin
Intoxication or impairment
Inability to provide informed consent
A condition that may interfere with tattooing or healing
Failure to follow preparation instructions
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior
Tattooing permanently changes the skin and carries risks, including pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, allergic reaction, scarring, ink migration, uneven healing, fading, and the possible need for touch-ups.
You will receive separate consent information and aftercare instructions before or after your procedure.
NUMBING PRODUCTS
Numbing options may be available, but they do not guarantee a painless tattoo.
Do not apply a numbing product before your appointment unless I have approved the specific product and given you instructions. Incorrect products, amounts, or application methods may affect the skin, tattoo process, or final result.
You are responsible for disclosing known allergies, sensitivities, medications, and previous reactions before using any numbing product.
HEALING AND AFTERCARE
Tattoo results depend partly on your skin, health, lifestyle, and aftercare.
You agree to follow the aftercare instructions provided to you. I cannot guarantee healing results when damage is caused or affected by picking, scratching, soaking, swimming, sun exposure, friction, infection, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or other circumstances outside my control.
All tattoos naturally change over time. Skin tone, healing, sun exposure, aging, weight changes, and individual biology can affect the final appearance.
Touch-up availability and pricing are determined individually. Free touch-ups are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
PHOTOGRAPHY
I may ask for permission to photograph or record your tattoo for portfolio, website, advertising, social media, educational, or promotional use.
Any permission to use identifiable photographs or video will be addressed separately. You may decline identifiable promotional photography without affecting your tattoo service.
COMMUNICATIONS
When you submit a booking request, you authorize me to contact you about that request by phone, text, or email.
Submitting a booking request does not automatically enroll you in unrelated marketing. If you separately opt in to marketing messages, you may opt out at any time by following the instructions in the message.
